who needs rubber boots?

I appreciated your comments yesterday. Thanks to all of you who stepped out and made your first comment ever on this blog. Yeah for first time commentors! Sometimes I write a post and wonder if anyone will ‘get’ what I am trying to say. I’m never too sure how I come across on this blog, so it is nice to know yesterday’s post made sense. Thanks for the encouragment 🙂

The kids helped me plant some flowers. When we finished I asked them to water the new plants. Watering flowers quickly turned into watering siblings…which turned into watering dirt so it created a mud puddle. Their clothes were already dirty from working in the garden so I didn’t change them into swimsuits. I stopped buying the boys anything white a long time ago…FireCracker’s clothes were already stained too. No more white clothes for her either I guess.

My camera settings changed a lot on these pictures, so I’ll share those too. I used my 24-70mm f/2.8 lens for all of these.

This photo will make a lot of photographers cringe. The circle glares are a little bit from the sun and a lot from my dirty lens. Technically speaking all those dirt glares make this a terrible photo. Mom speaking…I kind of like the feel all that dirt on my lens gives this photo. Messy kids. Messy camera. Messy is my normal.

Muddy little feet make me happy.

Muddy little clothes, not so much.

I think the best kind of dirt is the kind that squishes in your toes!
