Dinner with my boys {& a photo tip}

Dinner at Steak & Shake…Biggest Brother requested hamburgers for his birthday night dinner – that’s why he is the one in the hat.

PHOTO TIP: We ate about an hour before sunset. I knew I would want pictures of Biggest Brother with his shake and when they sang to them. I also knew I didn’t want to use my flash. So, when we walked in I scoped out the booth with the best natural light (there are windows behind me…the sun is also setting behind me). I requested that they sit us there and I had Big Brother next to the wall where there wasn’t as much light and Biggest Brother in the best part.

Part of getting the shots you want includes thinking ahead of time on what it is you are wanting…
