A FireCracker Party

She’s almost one….we celebrated her birthday while we celebrated Independence Day. I girlied up the red, white & blue to make it work for both celebrations. Here is a peek at our party, I’ll post some tutorials for some of the decor tomorrow….

I made lots of decorations to put outside and then we were hit with WIND.

The rain held off, but the wind forced me to decorate inside…which most of the guests never saw. Oh well.

Look at all that dark hair…that is a first in our family.

My dad is a master at homeade ice cream. Somehow I convinced him to make vanilla to let guests add their toppings too. He makes all kinds of killer flavors. We had a lot of great food (dad also made pull pork), but I was too busy getting all my kids plates made to get any pictures of it!

Biggest Brother made a “dragon” with his ice cream.

Since I yelled at my grandpa at the last birthday party for trying to give FireCracker ice cream, it only seemed right to let her first taste come from him.

Me & my girl.
