Cookie Tray by Pappy

Last fall I shared about how my dad took the remains of our chopped down sycamore tree and turned them into wood bowls. He has made A LOT of bowls since then! A LOT!! I need to gather them all for a picture. Well, he has been busy making bowls and now cookie trays.

He made one for my oldest daughter with teal down the middle (her favorite color). He made a second tray for my niece with pink (her favorite color). Like everything he makes, there is a personal inscription on the back – which makes them priceless.

The handles on the tray are from my grandma’s kitchen cabinets. Before our kitchen remodel, they were on my kitchen cabinets. I don’t remember my grandma ever making cookies, but I am sure she’d think it was funny that we have her kitchen cabinet handles on a cookie tray. My daughter is named after her…

This girl is about to pass me in height. She is pure delight and I’m just so incredibly grateful I get to spend each day with her. She also makes a mean vanilla bean scone!
