The Camp Blanket {DIG & CO.}

Nearly six years ago our family was on a 5 week road trip in our trailer. We drove though Yellowstone, Glacier, and a few other national parks. It was 5 of the best weeks for our family. We are clamoring to go it again. We actually purchased an Airstream this summer. It is in ROUGH shape and needs a complete overhaul. I’m hoping we find the time and financial margin this spring and summer to begin working on it. We should probably finish the remaining house projects from the addition first!

While we were on our roadtrip an online friend connected me with Nici Holt of DIG & CO. We were driving through her Montana town and our mutual friend suggested we meet. Nici welcomed our family of 7 into her home, served us a delicious cup of coffee, and invited us into their lives for a brief moment in time.

Our visit was so very short, but it left a lasting impression of hospitality and warmth. It is a rare thing to welcome strangers into your home. Back then Nici was making custom hats (she still does). I ordered an Oklahoma one. It became my favorite hat and reminded me of Nici and her family each time I wore it.

Over the years Nici’s business has continued to grow, but her commitment to quality products that are ethically sourced and environmentally aware has remained the same. Recently, she launched a new product – the camp blanket and sent one my way. Like my hat was an immediate favorite, this blanket is just the right mix of everything. I am so excited for her and this launch.

It isn’t bulky, but feels weighty when we are curled up under it. I’ve been taking in pretty much everywhere with me this winter – homeschool campus, basketball games, the movie theater!
