still going strong {Crossfit as a family}
Last week I was digging through old posts trying to find one someone had asked me about. In no time the kids were all gathered around me and we were laughing at old pictures and the things I had written. It made me sad that I don’t post as much anymore. I have my Instagram connected to Chatbooks, so when I post and write captions there they are automatically turned into a book. We love when those books arrive, so it provides extra motivation to keep posting there.
However – there is something about getting to read longer posts and see more pictures. I think I’ll miss having this season of life documented here if I were to totally stop blogging. All that to say, it made me think about what have I not posted that I want to look back on one day?
As I scrolled pictures on my phone, so many pictures and their stories stood out. I’ll probably go back and post some here, starting with these today. We’ve been doing Crossfit as a family for years now. I can’t remember how long actually – 6 or 7 years I think. Crazy. It is such a huge part of our family story and one I want to remember.
I can totally picture the kids gathered around me in 5 years looking back at these pictures and laughing. Remember when…..I will hear them say and I will remember when. In 5 years they will probably all be taller than me (well, at least 4 of them). I love that we have this time together, that I get to come alongside them at the gym, that this is one of the places the stories of my family are being written.
