extraordinary ordinary moments
Corbett turned 14 earlier this month. I usually make a special breakfast on birthdays. I’ll make anything they request….I should have guessed his request.
Bacon. Cereal. Cookie Cake. The breakfast of champions. Or at least 14 year old boys. It wouldn’t be my choice, but I must admit it sure what quick to make. His younger sister said the cake should say, “Happy Birthday Mr. Abs” because he likes to flex. You should have seen the face of the sweet girl in the bakery when I told her what to write. When she finished she asked, “Can I take a picture of this? My friends will never believe me.”
I made her night a little more happy. I’m good with that!
This post doesn’t have a lot to do with cookie cake or abs, but maybe it does a little. Most of the pictures I take don’t fit into concise blog posts. My pictures are pretty random snapshots of my days because my days pretty random. Some days are ugly random. Random nonetheless.
You would think being home all the time with the same 5 people things would get boring. Honestly, there are days I crave a little boring! All that to say…this post is just a collection of recent pictures from around here.
These are a few of the ordinary moments that on my good days I see as extraordinary.
Happy Monday….I hope your day is full of moments of clarity where you can see the extraordinary in your ordinary!
