thankful for my three
I am so ready for summer!!!
This weekend my oldest two boys played in their basketball championship games. My 9 year old’s team won; it was a nail-biter. I don’t know if I can handle high school sports. My stomach was in knots the whole game watching those boys play with so much heart. My 7 year old wanted the win desperately. Every season, every sport his team has finished second or third. He wanted to win his first championship game; they lost. I might have taken it harder than he did. Chris, who was the coach, took it the hardest.
When we got home from the game, my 7 year old led his brothers out back to start practicing for the soccer season. He’s got a fire in his bones to finally clinch a victory. He’s been doing pull-ups, push-ups, and running laps on his own initiative. He wants to get stronger and faster; it is fun to watch his drive and determination come out. This spring all three boys will be old enough to play, so our Saturdays are going to be very booked. We are home all day, everyday – so full Saturdays aren’t so bad!
These were all taken with my iPhone5 because I was playing too.
Sometimes they combine sports…wrestling is usually combined with every sport.
He told me he is aiming at making a winning goal with his head. He’s practicing a lot. Boys are pretty awesome. I am so thankful I have three!
