when their feet don’t touch the floor
I need to record the conversations of my youngest son and oldest daughter. They are 15 months apart. Complete opposites in nearly every way, but such great friends….at least most of the time. The things they talk about together make me laugh and smile. His brain starts the conversation one direction and she can take it down a totally different path. I need to sit more often and listen.
He got a haircut this week – the day after I took these. The boy has the craziest cowlicks – ones I kind of love.
I like these days, this phase of life – when they draw pictures of super heroes, family portraits and their friends. The days when they gather at the table at their own initiative, wanting to be together. The days when their feet don’t touch the floor.
