diy {Meg inspired game card bunting}
My friend Meg has an amazing Craft House…the one I post about regarding Whatever Craft Weekends. In several of the rooms she has bunting made with old flashcards. I recently picked up a Strawberry Shortcake card game for my niece who was turning three. Once home I realized there were some cards missing. I debated just giving her the cards to make up her own games, but then I decided to make a Meg-inspired bunting instead.
Supplies:
Cards
Random fabric scraps (my niece likes purple)
Lace trim or ribbon or whatever you have on hand
First, I laid out the cards to determine the length of my bunting.
Secondly, I used my sewing machine to sew some trim onto the cards, keeping them spaced as I went.
Lastly, I cut strips of fabric, ribbon and trim and tied them to the lace base of the bunting.
So now my niece has a wonky random bunting for her room. Not sure if my sister is excited about this gift, but it sure was fun to make. We’ve had so many big projects around here – writing the phone version of SnapShops, building the coop, and now building a fence for our chickens. My time for diy projects seems non-existent, which makes me sad. This bunting might have been more of a gift for me to make than it was for my niece to receive!
