drywall and happy mail - Ashley Ann Campbell

drywall and happy mail

If there is one aspect of building projects I REALLY don’t like, it is drywall sanding. Drywall sanding in a room with no air conditioning when it is 103+ – well it just isn’t fun. However, I sure am thankful we are capable of doing it, we have a fun new space and my hubby treats me to sweet tea. Sipping sweet tea is just happiness.

I told the kids I’d treat them to frozen yogurt if they helped me clean. The boys went to work.

FireCracker helped sweep a bit, but it wasn’t working so well. I gave her a cup of water and a paint brush. She went to town.

The sanding is done. I’ve been cleaning and cleaning and cleaning. I need another frozen yogurt break. Hopefully, we will get to paint this week. For those wondering, I am painting it all white – I know, shocker.

This is not related to drywall at all, but I thought I’d share a few other little things making us happy around here. We got a surprise package from Amazon – a water balloon maker. AND THE BOYS CAN TIE THEIR OWN WATER BALLOONS! I have no idea who it is from though…there was not a sender on the package. So, whoever it was…THANK YOU! While I was working on drywall the kids were having a balloon fight. Awesome.

Top Row: water balloon from secret sender; my new bracelet from Amy Cornwell; home made peach jam from my sister; bracelets for my girls from Fresh Entity; Lego crayons from a faraway friend; a new dress for Little One from her Nana; Cuddle twins from Emery (who today celebrates one year with her family!); canvas & print from Mpix; sweet cd from a faraway friend

And for those waiting to hear from me via email – well, I am completely behind. Please be patient with me. I will do my best to respond. I have an allotted time each day to get through as many emails as possible. Thanks!

I’m not sure this post has one coherent thought in it! I am scattered right now, can you tell? I am hoping to hear today that we are officially on the last step of our adoption process. I just can’t seem to keep my mind focused on any one thing. Everything is just fuzzy…and a stream of randomness comes out here.

I don’t foresee it getting better anytime soon….
