slippery rocks & spinning toys
We met my sister at the park this week. It is a more ‘modern’ playground/splash pad. It looks cool, but rocks and water just don’t sound like a good combination for little ones. I get so much more nervous at this splash pad than I do at most. I’m always waiting for someone to slip..thankfully it hasn’t happened yet.
A certain 4 year old boy wanted to go to the pool and was determined to watch from afar and not have fun.
Eventually the laughter of his siblings and cousins made him give up the battle and join in the fun. Seriously, do you see those rocks? I just don’t get the thinking behind this design…form over function?
Photo Tip: One very simple way to improve your photos is to watch your background and get in closer on your subject. In the first photo below, the girls are playing and I shot it from a distance with a busy background. In the next photo, I stood with my back to that busy background and took advantage of the less cluttered view…and got in closer on my girl.
Every family needs a kid like this little guy….
And every group of big brothers needs a little sister to push them…
I’m pretty sure whoever designed this toy thing was not a mom…it is so hard to push! I think you are actually supposed to stand on it and run to make it spin, but none of my kids weigh enough to really get it going. I wanted to try it, but didn’t want fling myself off. Random spinning things. Fun times. Fun times.
