Tim & Bekah’s Wedding
I’m not a wedding photographer.
I’ve been away from that area of photography for several years.
I feel very much out of the wedding photography groove.
It is strange to photograph people that stand still and are taller than 4 feet.
However, in the last year I’ve had the honor of photographing 2 very special weddings.
Two weekends ago, Chris and I spent the day in an Oklahoma field with Tim, Bekah, their families & friends. It was a beautiful day.
The wedding was full of so many loving personal details.
A perfectly, perfect laid back day in the country celebrating two becoming one.
The bride and her girls arrived in a turquoise VW….
The ceremony was led by Bekah’s dad. Her sister wrote and performed a song for the special day too. Talent runs deep in their family.
Instead of cake, they had pie…so cute. I’ve never seen so many pies in my life. While things were getting set up I just kept watching person after person carrying endless homemade pies to the table. After the wedding I cut a slice of what I though was blackberry pie. Eating it I realized there were blueberries and pineapple in it too – so good!
Fried chicken, rolls, pickles…picnic style.
A special place for the littlest of guests.
Look closely…do you see the guy in the center of pic doing a flip? Those boys were all over the field doing flips off things and in the middle of things. I’m always impressed with a guy that can do a flip.
Bekah and her mom spent the last year collecting all kinds of vintage findings…sheets, quilts, plates, jars. Every little table had fresh flowers and nods to times past. All the lovely details and personal touches were created by family and friends. The day was a celebration, but it was also a reflection of two great families. Chris and I were so honored to spend the day among them, capturing the day. Bekah has 4 little sisters and a little brother…a lot of fun filled weddings in this family’s future!
Thank you Tim & Bekah for letting us join you on such a monumental day!
