“my boys got me a castle” ~ FireCracker
About a month before Christmas my oldest asked me if I would find him some big boxes. His little sister is crazy about castles (there is a “castle” at our church). He was planning on building her a big castle in the garage as a Christmas present. Sweet, but…we don’t need a big castle in the garage. Then out shopping one day, I found a cardboard castle that you can color. The boys spent several days in December coloring it while she napped.
When Christmas arrived, they sent her upstairs and got ready for their big reveal. She loved it. She loves them.
She kept hugging and kissing them. She reminds me all the time, “Mommy, my boys got me castle!” Yep, they sure did. I really like it when she calls them her boys.
It is big, takes up her whole room….but I can compost it one day, so we’re good.
My mom hand made her a princess dress….
She lacks the grace of a traditional princess, but makes up for it in sass.
With a smile, my little princess carries the weight of the kingdom on her shoulders and lets Batman know who is boss.
