a little gathering and a little Cameo {or not so little}

***************GIVEAWAY IS CLOSED***************

Things are a blur around here.

I had the first night of The Christmas Gathering last night. 1400 women. Crazy. Fun.

In August, I was ON THE BALL and planned a haircut with my friend Loren (hello, Vintage Comb button on the sidebar…sweet Loren’s salon) for yesterday morning, Nov. 17th. I figured how better to prepare to be on stage than to get a haircut that morning – so someone else would be fixing my hair. Only the night before when I texted her a question, to my great sadness did I learn I actually made my appointment for Saturday, Nov. 19th. Akkkkkk. Totally my fault. So mad at myself.

Lauren is a good friend…in her mercy she said I could come in at 7:15am. Thank you Loren. When I got her text I was at the church with friends working on stuff for the event. I left around 11:30pm. Another good friend, Cindy,  driving down the highway behind me called to let me know I had a flat tire. Not little bit flat. But really flat. I parked in a Burger King parking lot and she drove me home.

I got a up few hours later and took Chris’ truck to get my haircut. I left him at home with no vehicle, 3 kids to get to school….and a little girl. My mom and Cindy picked up kids, took them to their needed places, took Chris to work….took care of my family so I could get a haircut. But it wasn’t really about a haircut. It was more about friends and family knowing how much being on a stage like that is so hard for me…and they love me.

Hair got cut – bangs! Gathering got set up. Tire got fixed. Napped with my girl. Threw up 14 times behind the stage. Made it through.

Well, I didn’t throw up but wanted to….
11.11gathering-01I’ll share more on the gathering next week and my photo tip/projects seminar…this blog is going to explode with posts next week…be prepared for more than one post a day. If you came to the gathering and are checking here for more info on what I shared – come back next week and I’ll have it all ready to go.

Part of the fun of The Christmas Gathering is everyone goes home with giveaways from each seminar. I’m not spilling the beans on those giveaways….have another round tonight. However, I thought it would be fun to do a really big giveaway today for one of you. Remember a few weeks ago when I posted about my new Silhouette Cameo?

Well, I get to give one away to you! Here are some images from my two most recent uses for my Cameo:
