i’m 32
Goodness…so many nice comments yesterday. I will read them all…late night cuddle with my iPad instead of a book 🙂
It was my birthday last week. I got to start the day with a bunch of 5 & 6 year olds at the farm. A super cute boy even asked me to sit by him on the bus.
A bigger boy made me an “I Love You” sign out of Legos and candy corn…at the top of the stairs.
Two little ones took long naps.
Chris got me a pink castle pinata. I’m not much for princess stuff, but it was such a fun idea. Every 32 year old should get a pinata!
It was full of chocolate and craft supplies. A pinata with craft supplies…awesome.
I spent the rest of the day tearing out carpet and painting…a perfect birthday gift. More on that tomorrow.
A friend sent me text along the lines of celebrating the day I was born. For whatever reason, that stuck with me all day. We make a big deal about birthdays in our family…and that is why. It isn’t about a cutely planned party or gifts. It is about celebrating the birth of someone we love. I want Chris & my kids to feel celebrated on their birthdays. I want them to know how thankful I am for the days that they were born. I want them to know there was never someone like them before and there will never be someone like them again. They are each a unique, amazing creation of God…and the days they were born forever altered the course of my life. I felt very loved and celebrated on my birthday…best gift I could have been given.
