craft week….my little helper

Woah…over 2,000 comments to win the Silhouette…keep entering someone will win afterall.  Chris was reading my post last night and asked how it worked. So I got it out and showed him. We cut a cute paper doily. Yes, I can now cut my own paper doilies on any type of paper. No more white or Valentine’s Day colors! Now, I need to load it up and show my dad. He’ll be impressed with it too.

So next week is craft week and I have been crafting up a storm. As of today I am actually ‘going off the grid’ for a little over a week. There will be crafty posts each day, so you won’t really miss me, but I won’t be answering any emails. I won’t be on top of blog comments, but I will be checking in on the Silhouette giveaway.

I knew I wanted to be ‘away’ from email and everything online for a bit so I decided it would be a great week for crafts. I get emails all the time asking me how I “get everything done”. Well, let’s just say 3 weeks ago I created ‘to do’ lists for every day up to today. I broke down every project I wanted to post and all that has to go into those posts (buy supplies, make projects, photograph projects, edit pictures, write posts). I didn’t go to bed unless everything for that day was checked off the list. (Hence, not being able to take my Silhouette for a test drive). I would never accomplish anything without my lists!

I also had a lot of help for every project. She is like my little shadow at all times. She’s a cute little shadow. Here is a glimpse at what was going on when I was trying to photograph my Design Aglow project (which will be posted in detail tomorrow).

The reality of what it is like to photograph projects in my house.

This is her “I’m doing what I’m not supposed to to do and it is so fun” face.
