Floral & flare cake

There is a chance this blog might become a cake decorating blog. Not really, but it does seem to be the thing I really enjoy photographing currently. Its fun to watch Breese’s skills develop and I know I’ll like looking back at these posts one day.

Last week she made a cake for one of my dear friend’s daughter. It’s hard to believe the birthday girl turned 19. I remember her learning to walk! It’s crazy cool to do life long enough with others watch our babies turning into adults. What a wildly fun ride parenthood in the context of community is!

I made the crepe paper flowers. We attached them to wood dowel rods for inserting into the cake.

As she was decorating the cake, I noticed it looked so much like one of my posters. I guess we have similar taste!
