Around our house {quarantine 2020}

Sometimes I feel a little lost what to post here. It can feel trivial at times to post about anything that isn’t weighty in a time like this – or honestly anytime. I never want to come across online indifferent to the reality of hardships, suffering, and struggle. And yet – the heart of this blog has always been the simple everyday. This has always been a space for me to share the beauty of my mundane moments despite if the view is from the mountain top or the valley.

While I spend hours wrestling in my mind the realities facing family, friends, and strangers alike and how my life intersects in all that – has gone on many ways the same for us. Weighty thoughts, hard conversations with our kids, and lots of laughing. These are the things all mixed together for our family right now. And probably yours too.

I don’t have pictures of those hard conversations. I didn’t capture the words or tears or fears that have marked this time through photography, but I’ve still been taking pictures. AND best news of the month – MY SISTER HAD A BABY!!!

Once upon a time my boys posed whenever I tried to take their picture. Evidently, we are back in that season. Or maybe we never left it.
