biking down Main Street {918rocks}

Riding around our little Main Street is one of my favorite activities to do with my younger kids. They are fully into the painting and hiding rocks craze. Is this a thing everywhere? They paint rocks, hide them, find rocks others hid, and re-hide those. I’m such a fan of things like this that combine creativity, community, fun, and being active! Its pretty much the best combo ever in my book!

Some of the rocks they find have notes, so we can look up who left the rock hidden. Some rocks are painted. Some have art glued to them. All kinds of different ways of making the rocks unique and fun to find.

I’m not sure how this got started, but we are reaping the benefits. One more reason that I wish it was summer all year long. I would much rather ride a bike in the crazy Oklahoma heat than I would in a mild Oklahoma winter. I’m such a wimp in the cold. Maybe we could just throw the rocks from the car window this winter…yeah, probably not. I guess we will keep enjoying it while we can!
