Explore IL {Cave In The Rock State Park} - Ashley Ann Campbell

Explore IL {Cave In The Rock State Park}

While in Kentucky we visited Mammoth Cave, but I didn’t get many pictures…cave! After wrapping up a few days in eastern KY, we headed back to the western side in anticipation of my niece’s wedding. We had a few days to explore and decided to check out Cave in the Rock State Park (IL) one afternoon. It was a super short little hike from the parking lot to the cave. We weren’t sure what to expect and ended up so glad we made the trip.

Circling the cave are legends of pirates, outlaws, and counterfeiters. There aren’t many facts to support the claims, but the stories are just as fun to read and wonder what might have been. Wherever we hike, my kids usually get some kind of history and geography lesson from me. I can’t help it. I relish the chance to learn about places and wonder what life might have been like…who might have hid in that cave 200 years ago. This was definitely a fun stop to sit and imagine the past! Sitting and wondering is about as fun as the hiking to me.I told them I was going to count to three and then they should pose however they wanted for a photo. This shot reflects their personalities so accurately. Silhouettes and nature are one of my favorite things to capture. I think I might print this one big for somewhere in the house.If you are near the area, I highly recommend making the quick stop. Be prepared for mud in the cave.  We packed a lunch and ate in the park, where we met two guys and their converted bus/home. It was fun to hear their stories of living on the road the last 3 years and how they make life work. There is also a cute little ferry from KY to IL to get there – so that is fun!

Bug spray I made (recipe here) & Thieves cleaner I whipped up from concentrate

Thieves is pretty much the only cleaner I use for almost all our cleaning needs. The (super cutely labeled ?) bottle above was all we needed to pack in our trailer for cleaning – and it’s the Young Living product I was most excited to use to replace a bunch of other questionable products in my house. It costs me about $1.75 per 16oz bottle – which is awesome because we go through a lot!

Right now a 14.4oz Thieves Household Cleaner (concentrated) bottle and a glass spray bottle are included free with every new Premium Starter Kit.

PROMO ENDS FRIDAY 5/31

Promo includes:
• Premium Starter Kit (several to pick from)
• 14.4oz Thieves Household Cleaner
• Glass spray bottle
• $25 gift back from me
• Training & education support from me & my team!

Check out the pages below for more details on the most popular Premium Starter Kit and also links for how to enroll. Or click here to go ahead and sign up. I’ll get all your goodies from me in the mail to you asap!
