our ‘bigger’ tables {Article Seno Table}

It is pretty incredible to be at a point where things I envisioned over 8 years ago are coming to fruition! We still have a ways to go before everything is done, but one by one we are finally getting areas complete.

Our back porch has changed a little…

We have a bigger table!

Actually, we have two bigger tables!

And those two bigger tables can get even bigger!

The biggest reason we undertook adding onto our house was to create more room around our table to gather people. Our kitchen table previously fit 8 – really tightly. We managed just fine for years and years. Adding onto our house and gaining a bigger table was not a necessity, but a dream and a hope. We wanted the ability to all sit together when we had friends and family over instead of spreading out or eating in shifts. A dream and a hope.

Well, the addition is not complete, but we are getting closer. If you have been around here over the last year, you know I am a huge fan of Article and am always thrilled to have the opportunity to work with them. They made my bigger table dreams come true!

Article sent two extendable Seno Oak Dining Tables. Pushed together the tables easily fit 14. When we add the extensions and pull them apart, we can fit 24. If that sounds like a lot, keep in mind we have a big family and most of our friends have big families. We easily have 15-24 people over at a time on nearly a weekly basis.

All of our chairs are from Wayfair. Six were our previous kitchen chairs and then we added a mix match collection for the rest. I will share more details and links to each of those in a different post. I will also share more details on our fireplace.The tables are made of white oak, which is what our breakfast nook table and half of the island will be made of as well. The mid-century legs match the legs of the couch my dad built and our Article Sven sofa (seen in the photo above). It is such a perfect fit for our home!

The table extensions cannot be stored under the table, which is also why it is able to have such a clean and minimal design. Each table has 2 extensions that slide in and out super easily. We are storing the extensions in our closet.

I am so excited to fill all those chairs with friends, family, neighbors, and strangers who will become friends. I am not sure when the kitchen counters will arrive and we’ll be able to finish up the kitchen, but we do have some big get togethers already on the calendar! I don’t need counters or a sink to fill these tables!

A few things to note about Article:

Can you return items since they are purchased online?

Yes, just make sure you keep the box! Article offers a 30 day return, but you will need to ship it back in the original packaging and will need to pay the return shipping fee.

My tips for selecting a piece:

If you are considering an Article purchase, I HIGHLY recommend reading the reviews on each product and looking at customer photos. At the bottom of each product page you can find reviews and photos. These helped me in deciding if the tables would look good in our space. I found the reviews to be very accurate and the photos gave me a better idea of the sizes and color of tables.

Will there be a Black Friday sale?

YES! I will be sharing a bit about the Black Friday sale on Monday, so check back for details!
