still pressing on…covered in dust & paint - Ashley Ann Campbell

still pressing on…covered in dust & paint

I’m not sure anyone cares to see remodel updates, but from time to time I like to spend a Friday night reading old posts. This is a season and pictures I know I’ll enjoy looking back on in 10 years. So, pardon me while I dump more addition updates here!

Also this is all I am doing right now. Caulk. Paint. Sand. Sweep. Carry stuff. Move stuff. Buy stuff. Paint. Sand. Caulk. All the days long. I’m a little done with it, but pressing on!

In case you are wondering – we have no idea when we will be finished. We are always asked that. No idea. It just depends on how fast my dad, Chris, and I can work while juggling homeschooling and running businesses. The kitchen will be finished first though – that is our focus. I am having cookie baking withdraws!

Notice the arch in the next two series of photos. I wanted a curved arch, but it was framed out with a sharp corner. My dad and Chris saved the day – or the arch I should say. I’m thankful to have two problem solvers tackling my ideas and preferences! The fireplace will have a concrete seat, which I will park myself on all winter long. The kitchen table will actually be in front of the fireplace. I have already claimed the seat right in front of the heat. Some of our cabinets arrived. We are still waiting on about half of them, but it is exciting to see the ones we have!

How I feel. All day long. Pressing on…in dust, paint, rain or shine.____________________
