Father’s Day Pick Up {Year 4}
Well, I did not mean to take over a week break here! After working long hours on the SnapShop Kids class and doing construction (paint, caulk, nail gun, sanding, etc.)…I overused my right hand and injured a tendon. Goodness it hurt! Typing and general use of my thumb was basically out of question.
The doctor told me it would take 4-6 weeks to heal due to the tendon that was affected. Something about not being able to completely stabilize it without a cast and the difficulty of keeping myself from using it sine it was on my dominant hand.f
Hmmmm.
I’ll take that challenge and raise you some athletic and KT tape. DIYed my own little tape cast and now it is almost healed and I am back to typing (in short durations).
Let’s take a little trip down Father’s Day memory lane…Chris’ annual pic:
I think they have figured out a way to keep this going…at least if there is water involved for crashes!
Year 4 down.
While it is impressive Chris can bear all that weight, it is also weird that Corbett is getting ridiculously strong. Weird is one of those words that just resonates with me right now. It isn’t a negative word. It isn’t a positive word. It is one that embodies something different, but with elements of both.
Kids growing up…weird and wonderful.
Today is Chris’ birthday – I’m incredibly grateful my kids are being raised by a man of character and is a consistent example of serving and loving others well. Happy Birthday Chris!
