Draw With Me {#sketchadaywithLRZ}

A lot of photographers do a Monthly Challenge with daily prompts to get others inspired and picking up their cameras. I’ve never been too good at any form of a daily challenge. I start them with great intentions and then I fizzle out. I’d like to do a daily ‘paint something white’ challenge, just for the excuse to paint more things. White.

My sister recently started a Draw with Me challenge for the month of October. She closed her etsy shop, but as an artist she is always creating something. I smiled so big when I saw her announce this challenge. It is so perfect for her. She inspires so many. I thought for about half a second that I would participate…but I never started. I’ve got SnapShops wrapping up the next two weeks. I’m thinking after that I will start her prompts. I miss drawing. Once I picked up my camera, I sat down my pencils. I’d like the extra push to pick them back up again.

Until then, I downloaded one of Lesley’s sketches and started coloring it.

Every to-do list was a work of art. I wanted to frame them in my house. les3You can join in today. I know, for many of you like me, it is hard to start not on October 1st. I promise the world will keep spinning if you start late! You can find the prompts on her blog, the free download of the Fall Ya’ll sketch is on her blog too.

I think I might try incorporating this into our school day…get our hands sketching. Prompts are always good for me…less thinking required on my part!
