Be Crafty Workshop WA {getting ready}

Editing photos on an airplane with a heart so grateful for a weekend away with my sister and friends. I just returned from Friday Harbor (San Juan island) for a Be Crafty Workshop. I’ll share the details of the workshop tomorrow. For now, just a few of the journey to the island and the setting up of the workshop.

This was the first time Lesley (my sister) and I went on a big trip together  – at least one that involves flying. Spending so much time with her was one of the biggest highlights of the trip. We flew into Seattle and met Amanda Rydell before catching a shuttle and then a ferry to Friday Harbor.

I would have loved for them to get to see first hand the places that studied. I guess I’ll just have to go back and bring them along!BeCrafty1-03BeCrafty1-04My sister has the teeny baby bump. Her girls wanted play by play of everything she was doing. She took a ton of photos for her girls – making it a bit easier on them that she was so far away. She is the cutest thing. That’s my nephew in the Pacific Northwest!BeCrafty1-05I went to bed at 8pm the first night we were there. I am a party animal. The next day we got busy getting things ready for the workshop. The event was held at an old barn and we needed to bring in all the chairs and tables. Sara Parsons was our host and her husband Sean should get some kind of award for so happily helping us with all our random (and specific) requests. BeCrafty1-06“Hey Sean, can you move that truck about 2 more feet to the right. Wait, go back. No, go forward a bit more.” Poor Sean had to deal with photographers all weekend. He did is with a smile though. Thanks Sean!BeCrafty1-07Getting ready….BeCrafty1-08BeCrafty1-10BeCrafty1-12BeCrafty1-13BeCrafty1-14…more details and tons of pictures tomorrow!
