I wanted to go camping

I told Chris and the kids all I wanted for Mother’s Day was to get away and go camping – even if was only for a night. Camping is not really a ‘relaxing’ getaway with my crew, but it sure is treasured time for our family. Chris and the kids got me a hammock. I got to lay in it for a total of 3 minutes, with two kids squeezed next to me. I think the kids actually got themselves a hammock.

Surprising fun fact was the state park we camped at has a beautiful pool – free for campers. Wake up by the lake, but not have to swim in it?! Yes, please. Happy Mother’s Day to me. I actually didn’t swim, but I would have if the water was warmer and my toe didn’t have stitches in it.

This crew of mine – goodness do I love them. Life may not be relaxing or calm right now, but it sure is full in the best kind of way.
