Explore OK {stopping roadside}
So this isn’t really a place to explore, but it was part of our trip so I am ending the week with it. As we were driving from Alabaster Caverns to Gloss Mountain I saw more of the huge dandelions we had seen outside the cave. There was no one else on the road – in the middle of nowhere – so I asked Chris to pull over. FireCracker was more than willing to hope out for a little photoshoot among the flowers.
Chris took this with his iPhone.
Photo tip: By changing your angle ever so slightly you can often change your setting. In the next image, you can see the road next to us (don’t worry…there were no other cars out there, we weren’t on the side of a busy highway). Then I squatted down a little for the second shot and it totally changes the shot. I should have squatted just a bit more to completely hide the road, but it works.
The dandelions were nearly the size of her head! I didn’t take the time to fix her hair…she has a strong affection for hair accessories.
I thought I would end this week with a list of a few more places we like around Oklahoma, but it has been a long week and my mind is not functioning. Maybe I will try to do that in the future sometime. So, if you have a fun Oklahoma place to visit, please leave it in the comment section.
Finally, since I am posting about Oklahoma this week, it only seems right to show off some of my sister’s “Okie” stuff from her etsy shop (and a few other things I like)!
