gathering things for the studio
I keep acquiring things for the studio.
Chris is ready for me to move all my “just needs a little love” things out of the garage.
I have so many ideas.
But no time.
I wish I could fly Rachel down and convince her to get everything decorated and set up for me.
It is getting cold, so we’ll be indoors more. Bummer. But, I’ll probably get to hang things on walls.
I got another chair. Just needs a little love. And, I found a new book for the boys to read to me.
A don’t like asparagus, but I like the crate.
An Edison ediphone stand. I’m thinking of using it as a side table. Any ideas for what I can put inside?
Littlest Brother picked this out for his sisters.
For all you cat lovers…Poppy is still doing good. She is close behind wherever we go – inside, outside.
I do miss the tiny kitten stage.
Temporary little nook for coloring. My mom saved the old rocking horse my grandpa built me. Little One is enjoying it these days.
Guess what color I painted that back wall? It isn’t green or black!
This beautiful ribbon chandelier was such a sweet gift. I can’t wait to get it up and hanging.
Have you seen Lori Danelle’s blog? She and I ‘met’ a while back. I don’t remember exactly how. I do know we bonded over enduring online backlash for using wood pallets in furniture. (fyi not all pallets are treated with chemicals). Anyway, she is a super talented artist. Her blog has the tagline “Maker of Things”. I kind of want to steal that line. Well, about a month ago I quoted Shauna Niequist on my blog. Last week Lori surprised me with this paper cutting of that quote. Everything about it is just right. Now the hard decision will be how I want to frame it and deciding if I want to hang in in the studio or living room.
So those are few things that will be finding homes in the studio. The garage has piles of more. I think I might plan a vacation for Chris and the kids so I can make some progress on the studio. I am guessing he won’t like that idea.
