diy {“dress up” standard cards}

So, I was needing some “thank you” cards.

My plan was to pick up blank white ones from Hobby Lobby and decorate them. But – I was at Walmart getting batteries and such and decided just to see what the card section held. I found a pack of 50 die cut cards for either $5 or $7 – I can’t remember which one. They were pretty simple and would work just as they were…but then I got home and decided to “dress them up”.

Don’t you like a simple, affordable craft? Makes me feel creative when I don’t really have time to do involved projects.

My super organized tape stash. You can find decorative tape online, on etsy and at local craft stores. Usually at craft stores it is in the scrapbooking section. I have yet to actually finish off any of my rolls of tape. When you use it on small projects it last so long.

To make the cards, I just added a few strips of tape and then trimmed the excess.

I know, not really a “Wow!” factor, but it does add just a bit to make it a little more fun. And it is simple & fast. All things I appreciate right now.
