St. Louis {a little trip}
We made a short trip to St. Louis with extended family last week. I think the last time I had been to The Gateway Arch was around 8th grade.
We also spent a day at the St. Louis Zoo. For my butterfly-loving 6 year old, the special Butterfly exhibit was the stuff of dreams. He wanted a photo of himself with this butterfly….his smile is fake, the butterfly is not.
We made a trip to the gift store to see if they sold this guide, but they did not. I am going to have to find him something similar online. Any suggestions?
Purple fingernails at her request. Constantly chewing on her hair – I’m constantly trying to get her to stop.
When FireCracker and I saw this mother and baby pair of elephants, FireCracker squealed, “Mommy!! It is you and baby sister!!” Everytime. EVERY.TIME. she sees a baby anything she associates it with her sister. She might spontaneously explode when she finally meets her little sister.
I’ve always wanted to get my pilot’s license. Can you imagine getting to fly one of these?! Maybe someday I’ll still get that license…and someone will give me a plane….and I will do barrel roles in the wide open skies…and wave at my kids and grandkids below.
We also ventured to the Science Center…the boys really enjoyed all the hands-on activities.
And then my camera battery died because I forgot to charge it.
And then we drove home.
4 kids. One kitten. Two adults. One mini van.
Can you guess who was ready to be home?
I don’t do road trips well. I really need to get that pilot’s license and plane.
