painting houses and painted pegs
Well, since so many of you seem to like our little Pepper Poppy I thought I’d share few more pics. The kids started painting Pepper’s house yesterday. I’m letting them do the base coat white and then I think Pepper needs some door trim and a cute sign over the door…I’ll be doing those.
All she needs is a leotard, leg warmers and a slap bracelet.
My grandparents were over building scaffolding for the studio….they got a front row seat to the painting.
There is grandpa’s scaffolding in progress on the floor.
The stairs. My dad is creating a metal handrail. Once we get sheetrock and paint done, he is going to start welding. Between my parents and grandparents I am pretty confident there is not a single thing they can’t do.
Remember this little dollhouse I ordered from Sparrow Mercantile? It is for the studio. I had mentioned I was wanting to make a little peg doll family for the girls to play with…well Virginia of Once Upon A Peg reads my blog (I didn’t know that) and offered to make a set for my family. I, of course, took her up on the offer. It would have taken me months to get around to it…and they would not have been so cute. The little dolls arrived this week and FireCracker has been playing up a storm with her little house and dolls. She carries “her” and “her sister” everywhere.
For those wondering, we are still waiting on an approval for Little One from US Immigration and Citizenship. I am optimistic it will arrive this week. If not, well I’ll be optimistic it will arrive next week. She turns one this weekend…..
Just a little update to let you know Amy (one of our sponsored kids through The Incubator Project) is at the hospital and scheduled for her cleft lip surgery (and with the time adjustment the surgery may have happened while many of us were sleeping). I will let you know an update when I receive one. Please pray for this sweet beautiful one as she recovers and heals.
