where did she come from?

I find myself watching her these days and thinking, “who is this kid and where did she come from?’ She is a culmination of all her brother’s personalities with pink and giggles added on top. Very rarely do the boys surprise me anymore. Their actions don’t shock me. I don’t bat an eye at the stuff flying through the air. Laughs about bodily functions are normal. But…this girl – she baffles me. She is prissy and a tomboy. She loves to get her hair fixed and watch me get ready in the morning…so weird! She likes pink and purple and dolls and barrettes and girl stuff. Weird. Sometimes I just sit back and watch her prancing around the house….and shake my head and laugh. She’s awesome, just like her big brothers.

Each day this week, I am going to mention a bit about using actions with Photoshop. There are 2 great giveaways and I will point you to some free actions, as well.  With little ones in the house, I have no desire to be on my computer any more than necessary. I know VERY LITTLE about Photoshop. It would be great to learn more, but right now I am more interested in how Lego Luke Skywalker can fly through the house than I am about spending more time on my computer.

As a result, it is my aim to get my pictures as close to exactly how I want them ‘in camera’. However, I do use Photoshop to tweak nearly everything I post here or print. Those who know a lot more about Photoshop than I do, create things called “actions”. Basically, they take advantage of Photoshop capabilities by putting them together where someone like me just has to press “play”.  I’ll be sharing more on this topic all week. On the photos above, I used Totally Rad Actions.
