weekend randomness
She went to a Bug themed birthday party. Lots of toddlers with little bug antennas, hunting for plastic bugs. It was super cute…and she left super tired. As we pulled down our street, I called Chris and asked me to meet me at the car with my camera. I pulled down her seat belt strap just a bit, and captured my party girl crashed out and covered in glitter.
We spent a lot of time buried in adoption paperwork and dreaming of spending a Saturday together…all 7 of us.
I am not above bribing my boys with M&Ms in order to get them to look at my camera.
Oh look…another boy wants a M&M.
There are those girly pigtails. We were headed out to see her cousin. That is the only reason she left them alone.
We spend a lot of Saturday nights at my grandpa’s house. Three active boys with plastic guns in a small house is not a good idea. The stress level of every adult rises several notches. Despite it being insanely hot, I sent them outside to burn some energy. The boys love hunting each other in grandpa’s garden.
She found the oasis in the dessert.
About an hour later we heard a strange and very unfamiliar sound…RAIN! I can’t even remember the last time it rained here. When we heard the drops pounding the roof, everyone ran outside to celebrate. I don’t know who had more fun playing in the rain: the adults or the kids.
