Finishing up our trip…
I know you all had a lot of questions yesterday…and I have not had a chance to answer any of them. I will try…if not, remember and I’ll do a Q&A soon!
We took the boys white water rafting with their cousins. Our oldest 2 boys LOVED it. Our youngest son nows says it was “awesome” but at the time he wasn’t a fan of being splashed with cold water. He’d yell “MEAN WAVE” each time he got wet. Now all you sweet grandmas and worrisome moms do not need to fret…this was actually a very low key ride. The photographer was stationed at the best splash. In fact, this was the only time of the whole trip the adults (other than the guide) had oars.
The boys found boulders to jump between…heaven on earth to them.
They also slid down boulders and splashed in puddles. I lost count how many times I heard “Are they all yours?” and “You’ve sure got your hands full.” on this trip. It was annoying. In my head I had all kinds of sarcastic responses, but I don’t want to be that mom. I don’t want to be that kind of person, so I just smiled and kept enjoying my handfuls.
At the end of our last hike the Butterfly Whisperer caught his biggest butterfly to date. It made for a very sweet ending.
I also took advantage of the beautiful scenery to do FireCracker’s 2 year old pictures. I was going to post those this week, but I still haven’t gotten around to going through them. Maybe Monday…but probably Tuesday….
