a family “hike”

You guys had me cracking up yesterday with your comments….women and our shoes!

We had some great weather recently and I wanted to take advantage of it by being outside. We went for a little hike at a nature park. I can only semi call it a “hike” because most of the trails are paved and that seems more like a up and down walk than a hike. But if my legs were as short as my youngest two…well then maybe I’d consider it more of a hike.

I’ve been using my 24-70mm lens almost all the time since the sweet lady at the camera repair shop scolded me for my dirty camera. I’ve been missing my 85mm lens, so I decided to take it along for the hike instead of my 24-70. It was so good to shoot with it again. Since I haven’t posted camera settings in quite a while I thought I’d include those today. Keep in mind the sun kept peeking through the clouds and some areas were more shaded than others.

They look so little, yet so big together in this picture…they are 15 months apart. She is something else…so is her cowlick.

This is the type of shot I’ve been missing when using my 24-70….the super blurry background I can get at f/1.8.2.23.11-07

That same f/1.8 blur.

I’m ready for warm weather. I’m ready to be outside all the time. I’m ready.
