When this family stepped out of the car the first thing I noticed was their great outfits…I loved that their mom coordinated the outfits but let each kid’s personality show in what they chose to wear. Very cool. As you can tell by the pictures they are quite a photogenic family…

I was so excited to shoot this wedding! I have known Jessica since she was barely in elementary school - it was an honor to capture her as a confident, beautiful bride. I knew the wedding was going to be amazing when my invitation, bridal shower and thank you note all matched and were handmade. Time and thought went into every detail and it showed. The wedding took place at the beautiful Camp Loughridge. Some of the vendors included: DJ Nathan Smith with DJ Connections kept the dance floor jumping, Ellen Smith of Studio 91 did Jessica’s beautiful hair, Flowers by Friends created all the gorgeous flowers (the bouquet by Roxanne was INCREDIBLE) and the Catering Kitchen provided the delicious menu.
Thanks John & Jessica for asking me to be a part of your day. Your adoration for eachother is so evident and it was a joy to celebrate such a great day with you. Congratulations!!

I am a detail girl, so it was great to shoot a wedding for a bride that paid attention to the little details. Ashley is a phenomenal hair stylist (she styled all 5 of her bridesmaids hair) and incredibly stylish herself. I love it when a bride breaks some traditional rules and makes the wedding all her own. Not only do I share a love of details and a name with Ashley…we have the same favorite flower - peony! Her beautifully simple peony bouquet was created by Perfect Presentations. The ceremony and reception took place at Bridle Creek in Sperry. DJ Connections kept everyone dancing and Destry Davis of Glamour Palette was the makeup artist. Speaking of details, Lynn’s Cakes Etc. in Skiatook created two grooms cakes that had the name of every invited guest scrolled across in icing. Very cool.
Since Matt and Ashley are big fans of black and white, I tried to include more B&W than normal in the slideshow. Click in the middle to begin playing. Enjoy!
This weekend I shot my first wedding of the year. It was fun to be back at it after skipping out on the first half of wedding season to enjoy Everett. I’ll post the rest of the wedding in a week or so, but I wanted to share this glimpse. You can tell a lot about a bride and her wedding based on the shoes….
