making movies

Capturing the interests of my kids is pretty important to me. Some of their interests change over the years, while others stay the same. Technology is also something I like to make sure I photograph. Technology is such reflection of time. When SnapShop students would mention how they tried to avoid pictures of their teens texting, I would try to encourage them to capture those moments instead.

Think about how fun it is to look at old photographs with phones on the wall and a hand piece for talking. Laptops, iPads, iPhones, etc….are all things that one day we will look back on in photographs and have such a different perspective on them than we do now.

My guys have been into creating stop motion movies. They can be entertained for hours, which is especially wonderful during the colder months! They’ve been using the Movie Maker app by Lego, it is super easy.

They asked me what I wanted for Christmas. I told them I want a stop motion video of our family as Lego characters. It is going to be awesome!

As a sidenote, I was curious if anyone knows how to save audio from the Movie Maker app. They recorded themselves laughing and I can’t figure out if there is a way to just export and save that audio clip so I can have it. If anyone knows, please share!
