It is wonderfully warm here. We’ve been outside nearly non-stop these days.

Despite the glorious days inviting me to live fully in them, I’m a mess. Now that I know where my baby girl is living and what her obvious needs are….well, I am research crazy. I don’t remember ever scouring the internet so intently. It has made me ineffective in many areas….like laundry, cleaning, buying groceries….all the areas that really show when I am not doing them. This week I am trying to get back in the swing of normal life.

I had a few diy projects I wanted to do last week, but they didn’t get done…well, other than the beaver cake. So, I thought I’d share a few random things I’ve found online that I’ve enjoyed. Maybe you’ll enjoy them too!

- Joy Prouty’s home tour on Life Made Lovely – oh my goodness this is a gorgeous, warm, happy home
- Megan of The Contented Sparrow’s home tour on Life Made Lovely – notice the map with words, I am going to be doing that…this home just feels alive inspiring
- My sister’s Bacon & Feta stuffed pork tenderloin – it was simple, I didn’t do it right and it still tasted awesome
- Giant paper flower tutorial on Design*Sponge – I’ve been wanting to see a tutorial for these for a long time, I would like to fill my house with them and walk among them in delight
- DIY confetti tablecloth on Oh Happy Day – this would be fun to have on hand just to throw on the table for an instant fun dinner
- DIY colored chalkboard paint by A Beautiful Mess – a tutorial for making any color…endless creative options
- Free resource buttons by Oh, Hello Friend: cute downloads for your blog or website (this is a great blog to read too)

Well, sorry if you now get lost on all those inspiring blogs and forget to fold laundry. Folding is overrated anyway!
Have a great Tuesday!

Danielle - Yes, folding laundry is very much over rated. I saw the DIY colour chalkboard by a Beautiful Mess… oh my list of want to dos as well. Ok, off to check out the other blogs you listed that I haven’t been to yet. Enjoy the day.
mandi@herbanhomestead - Those first two links are some of my all time favorite house tours. Love, love, love them!
I can’t imagine how hard this part of the waiting is for your adoption. With ours, we are still in the referral stage and I think about that baby (that may have not even been conceived yet) all of the time. Hugs to you mama.
Molly @ mixedmolly - this too shall pass…sooner than it will seem you’ll get to meet that cute little face. May you see the blessings while you are waiting.
allison - Thank you for the link to the resource buttons! I just added one to my blog (also helpful for procrastinating when I ought to be doing some work for my classes today…). I hope you can do your best to enjoy this distracted time.
giozi - Your girl is flying !!
What time did you take these?
elsie - what an exciting time in life! i’m sure i wouldn’t be able to think about groceries either.
also, thanks so much for reading our blog- we love yours too!
XO. elsie
Seriously Sassy Mama - Too funny. minus your sister’s recipe, I have already read thru all the others. Guess I will have to fold laundry.
megan@contentedsparrow - hope you have a week filled with busy hands and sunshine. trying not to be envious of your warm days there. wish we could be outside!!
i never wrote to say, YEAH! CONGRATULATIONS on getting to meet your daughter! i’m thrilled for you and will continue to pray patience in the waiting time.
and thanks for the linky love today. i agree with you on joy’s home….amazing! lastly, pork tenderloin is our favorite meat around these parts, so, thanks for the recipe!
megan@contentedsparrow - oops, i’m back because i wanted to add a full disclosure statement about my map with words….it was a Pinterest idea that was from this holiday webzine…. http://www.stylebyemilyhenderson.com/blog/holiday-gift-guide-is-live-and-to-celebrate-im-having-an-ext.html
Sarah - LOVE the links… those paper flowers need to find a home at my house!
Amanda Torres - The weather has been so amazing. Unfortunately, all of our ins and outs has left me with a super grassy house. I’m beginning to have difficulties distinguishing between the inside of the house and the outside. Maybe I should sweep it up…
Maegan - Oh, how I miss warm weather! At least there was snow on the ground this morning- it makes the cold worth something right? And I’m sure I would be too distracted to buy the groceries as well.
Sheree - Oh I love those photos. Shame us adults can’t ‘fly’ of the swings like that without breaking out necks!
Sadee@aPicturebookLife - Hi Ashley, I am a new follower of your beautiful blog! Someone who goes to your church sent me the link thinking I would enjoy your writing and creativity, and I was thrilled to discover a wonderful connection to my hometown–you and I went to high school and youth group together! (I was Sarah Phillips then.)
I love your photography and seeing your beautiful family–you are so very talented; you were always someone I truly admired! Looking forward to seeing your adoption story unfold. I’m praying for your new little girl and for your heart too as you prepare for her homecoming someday…hopefully SOON!

Ellie - *laughs* I literally just read those last four links you shared within the last two days before you posted this. What a coincidence, since some of those posts were not too recent! Considering I’ve already seen four out of seven of your suggested links, I guess that’s a sign I should go check out the rest as well. Thanks for the suggestions!
Also, completely agreed about the warm weather and enjoying it outside– this past Sunday, it was over 80 degrees here in LA, which means pretty sundress weather! Congratulations on knowing about your baby girl and all the loveliness/excitement that comes with that! <3
