Vader drives a mini van

Boys day out.
Star Wars 3D with their dad.
When it was time to get ready they ran to their room to pick out shirts.
Proper movie going attire was essential.
They are so much fun.

Their mom needed a few pics before they loaded the car.

One clone down. An army to go.

Vader gets chased. Vader retaliates with The Force.

Who knew Darth Vader could look so cute with R2D2′s body?

While they watched the movie, we enjoyed girl time.

It was a good day. Later I found out that on their way to the theater, their daddy donned the Vader mask when the car was stopped at intersections. Vader driving a mini-van….they got some second glances. Mission accomplished. Boys are funny…regardless of their age.

Sarah Wolfe - Sitting here at samuel’s piano lesson… Loving these pics. A little sad bc my boys are a little past their star wars phase. We have 5 light sabers just like that, which have caused lots of fun and lots of tears :)

Mariah - Love, love, lovey, love. Little boys. Love.

Kris - Haha! Love it!

Brooke - Wow! Love it! My husband would totally do that. We saw a cool couple going to their van, both of us on date nights and we thought about asking them to be friends ;) . Not many people are awesome enough to drive a van.

LeeH - They are wonderful. I miss mine.
My two R2D2s are both now R6′D3″

I might still have a matchbox car in my purse though. HA

meg duerksen - ummm they are so cute in those!!!
what a fun day.
:)
have you seen the vader improv video on youtube like in a library?

Abigail C - Hah! That’s awesome–Vader and a mini van….and yes, the Vader helmet on R2′s body is absolutely adorable.

Caitlin - My 5yo son said, “Woah, those guys look awesome!” ;)

Molly @ mixedmolly - Boys are awesome! My son also got to go see that movie with his Dad and had a blast. Boys are truly blessed to have great fathers.

Seriously Sassy Mama - I love Star Wars! I have three daughters, so I probably will not tjo enjoy my love with any of them.

Jen G - I love these pics!! They make my day… loved meeting you at Craft Weekend, loved that post as well! Just had to comment on the Star Wars action:)!

Danielle - craftplaylove.com - haha oh how I would have LOVED to pull up next to Vader driving a mini-van! I’d have given him the “know how awesome you are, I do” nod. :)
My girls love love LOVE star wars .. I even made them a subway art! – http://craftplaylove.blogspot.com/2012/01/my-star-wars-subway-art.html

Kelly - My oldest turned 6 this weekend and we went and saw Star Wars as well! Boys are so fun :)

Allie - My boys went this weekend too, while my girlie and I went to see the very sedate, very 2-D Borrowers movie. Good times :)

Stephanie F - What a funny post thanks for sharing. P.S. love that bakery. I think someday I may run into you around town.

RachelSD - Yay for Star Wars! Looks like everybody had a fun date. :)

Mindy Harris - i love that girl time involved cookies.
we’d get along in real life.

Trix - Your kids are so cute! Also, I usually read your posts via Feedly, but I happened to visit your blog today and I have to say that I love your blog header, it’s gorgeous :)

Tammy - I love these photos! The Darth Vader head on R2-D2′s body is priceless. I have to ask: where did you score that awesome t-shirt? I have a little R2-D2 fan of my own who would adore it.

elizabeth - awesome!! don’t you just LOVE boys & their antics! especially dad to encourage them…the BEST!!

Elizabeth - We don’t “believe in” the prequels at our house, but I can’t wait to take Moose to see A New Hope in the theater. Lightsabers mandatory, of course!
