SnapShops are going online {intro to photography course}

We both got DSLR’s within the last year, but don’t know how to do anything outside of manual mode. She just adopted her third child, a baby girl, and I know she wants to capture those precious moments, and I hound my own three kids with a camera daily! We’d both LOVE to win spots!!

Rebecca - my husband just bought a Nikon. I don’t know how to use it, so this class would be perfect! I think I’d give the other spot to my SIL, who knows more about her Nikon, but is always looking to learn more about photography and beef up her skills.

tonpia - First, let me express my joy that you were able to finish this–I know how much work it takes and I appreciate your efforts. As for the class, I would give the class to my brother. He’s a busy busy man–a stay at home dad to 2 kids during the day, and then he works most nights too. One child is 4 months so he’s re-exeriencing the haggard newborn phase of parenthood all over again. He’s trying to be good at taking as many pictures of kid #2 as he did for kid #1, and he’s doing pretty well. He’s soooclose to being a pretty good photographer. His good pictures are just a smidge off from being great pictures. He needs a little guidance. We’ve talked about taking a class together and we even signed up for one but ended up not being able to get to it, so this online version would be PERFECT for him. Perfect to do during the 11 pm feedings, the 2 am feedings, at the 5 am feedings, and when he gets home from work. The online flexibility aspect would make all the difference. Plus then he would get to know you after hearing me talk about you for ages–I think he thinks you’re my imaginary friend.

Cindy - I would give a spot to my friend Staci. She is 22 and has a heart of Gold! She has a DSLR camera that she got for her birthday one year loves taking pictures of friends children. I know she would love to learn how to use it better. She is selfless and has been such an amazing friend to me and great auntie to my newborn twins!

Little did she know that she was going to get another grandchild 9 months after her first was born! I am expecting my first in November and I am so excited that my sister and I will both have girls that will get to grow up together (much like Sweet P and Firecracker). I can’t wait to learn how to better use my camera and document the friendship that these 2 cousins will develop.

I’d definitely share this with a dear friend who is a wonderful, very busy mom to 4 kiddos. She gives so much of herself all the time, and is always willing to take a moment to give me a bit of advice, a hug when I’m having a bad day, and a quiet cup of tea when we’ve both had too much. I would love to give a spot to my best friend of 8 years, who will be getting married and shipping off to South Africa next year. We’ve been through adventures of joy, loss and distance in the past couple years… and it would be wonderful to be able to take photos to share with each other and family in the next few.

Susan Holmberg - I would love a spot in snap shop and would LOVE to give the second spot away to one of my blog readers. I get a lot of questions asking for photography advice but seeing as I’m just a beginner I don’t feel comfortable giving advice. This would be amazing!

Michelle Z - I’d share a spot with my bestest friend, Jen. She just bought her first DSLR (to go with her first baby, of course). But it would also be fun to take this on together. We live far apart, and only see each other in person once or twice a year. I think this could be a great way to do something “together” even though we are far apart.

Jenny - What a cool way to give away a spot! My husband bought a DSLR two years ago when our oldest daughter was born (a little older then Firecracker) and really had great intentions of learning more about it so the pictures we capture of our family would be unique and beautiful. We just had our second daughter in May so there are a couple of lovely little ladies at our home to take photos of. Currently we only shoot in Auto bc we are so novice. I would give the spot to him, he deserves it!

FP Wear - I’d love to give a spot to my friend Shanna. Her family lives away,and I know that she loves pictures. She and her husband are working opposing shifts right now, so I know that family time with their two super kids is especially precious.

Maloree - I would give the spot away to one of the girls I went to college with who majored in Photography. My college was small (real small)… probably 500 on campus traditional students. I graduated in May with my degree in nursing but have always had a passion to do photography and there were 2 other girls that I worked closely with who also had a passion for photography (they had it as their major though). Anywho… they both are very talented, and I would love to be able to bless them in this way. I know they would both deeply value this and I would too! Hope I can have the opportunity to receive and be a giver!

Christie - The idea that I could finally make others see through pictures what I see when I look at an object or action/activity makes my heart race and my head spin with endless possibilities. Then when you said I could give a spot if I got a spot, my adrenaline raised to the next level. My cousin Shelley is the most amazingly creative and has such thought provoking wit. She loves taking pictures of her daily life and worldly travels. Your ideas and teachings and her god given mindset would give her the beginnings of a skill that would set off like wildfire in her spirit. Wow I am so excited at the thought!!!

lauren b. - i’d give the spot to my dad, also known as papa-razzi. he has a new “fancy” camera and recently passed down his old “fancy” camera to me. although he knows a little bit about photography and takes lots of photos, i think it’s safe to say we’d both love to improve our skills so we can properly document all the fun our family has together.

Sara - I would give a spot to my friend whose 4th child has Spinal Muscular Atrophy and time for memories with him is shorter than most. She has a great camera and has wanted to take a class like this with me before, but hasn’t had the time to get away for one. She could sure do it at her own pace though! Thank you for doing this; it sounds absolutely wonderful!

Alison - I would give a class to my sweet friend at work. She is getting married next year and is enjoying taking photos of her wedding progress. Would love to take your class!!

Cici - I would give my spot to my husband of course. Especially since this past vacation he discovered how fun it is to take pictures with my new Canon. You should have seen the faces he makes when he looks through the camera and discovers a good shot! So funny! Plus, I have always wanted us to share a hobby together. We have similar interests, but we’ve never signed up for anything like this together before.
