pool time {FireCracker’s first diving board jump}

Ahhhh pools….endless amounts of fun and endless amounts of energy burned. We took the kids swimming at a friends one evening. I’m pretty sure if I had a pool in my backyard I’d get nothing done. I would want to swim all day, every day…with or without my kids. I had a SnapShop over the weekend, so in honor of that…those of you that have come to a SnapShop…What one little thing could I have done to this picture to make it better?

…..not crop off his two fingers. There is no reason to have those cropped out of my picture. I wasn’t paying attention to his fingers as I was distracted by his cute grin. I wish his fingers weren’t chopped off….but that cute grin always makes it a keeper for me.

I taught them how to blow water through the noodles. I’m telling you….own a pool…endless fun.

The middle two hung out on the edge of the pool.  My oldest and youngest are the more adventurous types.

Going under water just makes her laugh…so bring on the diving board.

I love this one.

Her daddy is in the water under the diving board…so don’t get all nervous that I am letting her at the edge of a pool while I take a picture:)

Evidently he was in her way and moving too slow.

And after all the jumping came to an end, we headed home.

Don’t forget registration for Craft Weekend happens today at noon central time…on the Craft Weekends blog!

Alice H - little swimmer bottoms are so cute! My kids are such water babies. My 16 month old has no fear of the water and kept trying to walk in the pool this weekend. Happy Monday!

Sarah - It’s also nice after swimming because everone sleeps really well! I love the summer fun!

Anna Joy - I love swimming too. We try to go everyday before lunch. It makes for epic naps. :)

caroline tyler - So precious! Your children are adorable!!

Jacky {The Sweetest Petunia} - She’s so brave! I would have never even set foot near a diving board at that age. ;)

Tess S. - she’s amazing! according to the drs time frame… shouldn’t she still NOT be walking? let alone climbing and diving?! what a blessing.

Melissa - Swimming all day = most hungry and sleepy kids will ever be. :(

Rebecca - Firecracker’s swimsuit is so chic.

cailan - Oh man, what a cutie. And I end up cutting off appendages so much of the time – very frustrating!

emmybrown - *big smiles* such amazing photos!

lindsey - she is SO brave!I seriously think my 19 month old would FREAK OUT if I tried to get her to do that! I’m amazed :)

Heather C. - Beautiful pictures! Makes me want to escape the cubicle and go for a dip.

Kate @ Songs Kate Sang - Yay, Firecracker! I just can’t get over how cute that bathing suit is!

Sarah @ Handbags*N*Pigtails - Wow! She IS a little Firecracker no doubt. I was afraid of diving boards until…well maybe I still am:) Stems from never taking swimming lessons as a kid I think. Shes such a doll. I love the photo where she’s pushing him to hurry up. So cute!

Cary - Swimming? What’s that? What’s summer even? Ready to get out of the 60′s here in the Inland Northwest! Thankful for pictures like yours to give us a taste of it!

Becs - So cute! They are great pictures and I love her fearlessness. I especially love the shot of Firecracker at the ready on the diving board and the one jostling her brother along. (I used to do that with my brothers too but they were littler than me!)

maria - Oh my gosh, so incredibly adorable!! Im a pretty big fan of diving boards, even though they get the nix these days because of insurance reasons!! I dove in highschool and college and Love that your little girl is brave enough to take the plunge!!!! go firecracker!

Christie - I just read your comment on my blog–you found your stunt man shirt on there:). Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. You have no idea how much I admire your photography! I have recently bought a NikonD3100 and my sister is going to help me learn it. I am so excited, but I was going to direct her to your site and tell her, “I want to take pictures like these someday!” You are so talented and I love your style and the crispness/brightness of your pictures.

Steph - I LOVE THESE PICS! So adorable. I cannot wait to have more kids in my life. You are an inspiration!

Sarah - Oh I miss having a little one around Firecracker’s age! FULL of personality but still a baby (good thing I have another one on the way:) Adorable!

Tammia - Thanks for all the photography advice you give…it has helped me immensely. Also, the “how could I have made this picture better?” photo and advice really helps develop my eye. Your pictures (and kiddos) are adorable. Thanks for sharing!
