This IS a darling idea. Let’s see – after the kids are in bed, my husband and I once and a while get a chance to get on our woobies (sweaters) and sit on the deck with a glass of wine – sometimes we talk, sometimes we don’t, but smelling the flowering trees, the breeze and watching the sun go down just makes for a peaceful night.

Yay! I can’t wait to do this craft. Just got some old jars from my mom and I wasn’t sure what to do with them…I know now! My favorite things to do are sit on the trampoline while the kids jump around me (I’m 7 months preg so no jumping for me, yet)and watering plants with my daughter as she uses the same watering can that I used as a little girl with my grandma.

My husband either plays with my daughter or will be gardening in our new box garden you inspired us to build in the backyard! Hopefully the garden work in the spring, will bring fruitful results in the summer so we can enjoy tomatoes, peppers, strawberries, lettuce, and squash!

I am really diggin’ this DIY project! easy enough for me and oh-so-cute! ….I can’t think of anything else to do on spring evenings except my favorite pasttime: enjoying my kids (cuddles for the littles & letting the big ones run & play) while relaxing with hubby in the hammock or on the porch outside as the sun sets and the stars appear! ahhhhhhhhhh
I love taking a walk after dinner and getting a sno cone! Perfect!

I love that no matter how warm the day, you always need to put a sweater on in the evening because of the chill, I love that you can smell the earth after it rains, I love that our neighbors linger in their yards and we chat across the fence, I love the color of green that only spring can produce….I….heart….SPRING!!

On a spring evening I love going for walks with my husband and my little man. We watch him collect sticks and get excited when he spots a dog being walked! It’s the perfect end to a day:)

My favorite thing to do on spring evenings is meander through our gardens, pulling weeds, digging around the dirt and checking on all the little sprouts popping up – so much hope and promise. Love the hairpin idea! I’m always saving glass jars. A favorite activity for a spring evening is dropping helicopter seeds from the bridge over a creek near our house.
On spring evenings I love taking a stroll through my gardens to see what is peeping up through the earth … it can change daily!!
I love walking with my two best friends (the dog and the boy) down by the river and then all three of us falling asleep with the window open listening to the frogs and the rain…
My hubby and I love to go to Hansens Sno-Blitz. It is a yummy snoball shop that has been run by the same family for 71 years. There are a ton of delish flavors and it cools you right down on a steamy spring evening in NOLA. They are very much like the “snow” ones in Hawaii!

Jen - P/s I made/make my own baby very big on it I can say with confidence that my kids have never had any jarred baby food. My husband and I both believe that b/c of that (making baby food) our kids will eat anything and they do

chantelle - I am with you girl! 1. my son hated jar food-we had to try it on a trip to vegas (for hubby’s work) once-he wouldn’t eat any of the jarred stuff I thought he would starve (even though I was also BF-ing, silly girl I was)-we ate many bananas, papayas and strawberries that weekend! I am also a hotdog lover-I worked at sumemr camp for 5 years and lived on camp fire roasted hotdogs all summer long-with beans cooked over a campfire is my fav romatic dinner (we made sure we had a fire penciled in when we did the back yard reno!) Lastly-my Dad gives my son crackers-we don’t eat much wheat even though we live in the bread basket of Saskatchewan-it’s all the trans fats that drive me crazy.
