blog love {a LEGO a day}

Originally posted 09.15.09

I don’t have much time to wander around Blogland, but I did the other night and came across a super fun blog: a LEGO a day. The writer/photographer challenged himself to take a picture with LEGOs everyday for a year. You might have to be a mom that avoids stepping on LEGOs all day to really appreciate this, but then again I think browsing his blog would lighten up anyone’s day. I also share for the photography aspect…what a fun way to spark creativity and challenge yourself as a photographer. Enjoy…and go see the other pictures at a LEGO a day.

My boys loved looking at the pictures, here are a few of our favorites:

And my boy’s favorite. I have sternly warned them not to recreate this in their bathroom. Do you see the life preservers? How funny!

Sharon - I love this and your boy’s birthday party! I was searching for ideas for our own son (we’ll call him Middle Brother : )) and found your blog. So cute. thank you for sharing!

Dan - Ashley, Thanks for the feature on your site :) And thank you Abbey for showing your husband!
The project was a lot of fun. I miss it sometimes, actually. hehe.
Thanks again!

Leigh Ann Hasley - Ashley, you are so creative even at finding the most creative blogs! My boys and I laughed out loud at the lego shots. Perfect idea. Something so simple but very ingenious!

abbey - Ok, so I read this the other day and shared it with my hubby. He is an occasional blogger for GeekDad on wired.com. He apparently then did a post about it which led to a lot of page views for the site and a post by the site owner about how he loves wired and all the traffic. Small world, no?
