speaking tonight {photo tip #1 & everett}

Tonight I have the opportunity to speak to a group of great women at a church in Bixby. I’ll be sharing some photography pointers and some ideas of things you can do with your photographs. Some of you have requested more info on the canvas I posted on the old blog (it kicks you off to this one now). I hope to get those instructions up next week….

In preparing for tonight I needed a couple of pics to use as examples, so I thought I’d share one tip here…

Tip #1 Get in close….most adults don’t move, they just point the camera down and take the picture – which usually looks like this:

It’s a much better picture when I get in close on Hudson…isn’t he cute!

This is totally random, but I had to share a pic of Everett from his first swim. He went in for his 4 month check up today and weighs 15lbs! That is what Corbett weighed at 9 months and Hudson at 6 months. His doctor said at the next visit he’ll be the one carrying me in…not sure if I should be offended by that!

Chelsea - ahh, what a cutie! I love your new watermark

Jesse Peak - Great tip, and Great pics! You have such cute kiddos! See you Monday, can’t wait!!

Sarah Martin - Just so ya know my nephew was 18 lbs at 3 months and he was so much more to love! He was precious! LOL I love seeing pics of Everett they make me smile! He is wonderful!

Lesley - I love how well you capture my nephews’ personalities so well!!! Hudson is so charming and Everett looks more intense on that wakeboard than I’ve ever seen him! Oh, and I love the bag too and think this is a good enough reason to take up sewing! And, I really like the square plate-picture frame idea. Thanks for the Amy Butler update.

Amber Dearman - This is such a great pic! I’m dying laughing!!
