Happy Birthday Chris {& day 1 vacation}

My incredible husband is celebrating his birthday today. I am so grateful for the years I have been blessed to walk beside him in this life. As a mom I pray, hope, and dream that my boys will grow up to be men like their father. He is the perfect combination of strength and tenderness…he is my best friend. Happy Birthday Babe! (If you know him…or even if you don’t…leave him a birthday comment!)

Well there are bagillion (is that really a word?) pictures to share from our mini vacation, so today I’ll start with day 1. Chris and I both took a couple of days off work to enjoy our family. We stayed home and tried to do all the things we usually don’t make time to do around here. Day one started with a family trip to the splash park, then a picnic, naps, bowling, dinner at Chilis, snowcones at home….

My boys never lack in expressions

“I am two and I have pouting down. I wanted to carry that ball.”

I love both of these. I know they are very similar, but I couldn’t decide which one to post. I like pictures that tell a story and help me remember things. Here it is that Big Brother was too small to fit in any of the shoes, so he had to wear his tiny flip flops.

Littlest Brother was with us all weekend…you can see him in the background of some of the other pictures. Here he is at Chili’s. Like I said, my boys are great at expressions!

meredith j - These pics make me :) They are all so fun! Love Hudson’s pout face, Corbett’s concentration face & Everett’s silly face. Fun, fun!
Happy belated Birthday Chris!

Shanalea - Happy birthday Chris. It looks like you had a lot of fun playing with the boys.

Lesley - OK. After looking at these again I cannot believe my eyes! The way Hudson is standing in the shot of his flips is the SAME stance I’m always making that Eric makes fun of me for. I do it without knowing but it always cracks him up. That Hudson and I have some eerie things in common. A sight of things to come…not yet (didn’t want you to read into that!)

Lesley - Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday dear Chris! Happy Birthday to you!

Hope you had a great day.

Ashley, I love the pics. Corbett’s face in the bowling pic with Chris cracks me up and I love the feet ones! Glad you guys were able to get away!

melanie - Happy Birthday, Chris! We love you guys and will miss you this next year!

Lauren - Happy Birthday Chris! We love you guys.

bopha - Happy Birthday Chris, too bad we have no bubbles or the birthday song for you!

Chris Campbell - I am an abundantly blessed man! Thanks for the Birthday notes and taking the time to enjoy our pics. There is a lot in which to be thankful.

Amanda Weber - Happy Birthday Chris! Your family is too cute!

Shannon Phillips - Ash, I LOVE the one of the bowling shoes and flip flops. It looks like you had a great weekend.

Shannon Phillips - Happy Birthday Chris! I don’t really know you, but getting to know your family this year has greatly enriched my life. I can only imagine that you must be an amazing man of God to have snagged that incredible wife of yours. Kick back today and enjoy all that has been given to you.

Lindsey Leslie (Coleman) - HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRIS!! Your family is beautiful. Miss you all.

Carrie Sowell - HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRIS! Looks like you guys had fun. Of course I love the one of Hudson with his arms crossed. McKinley does the exact same thing!!
