summer concerts {tulsa area}

This post is for local readers….most of you probably already know about these events, but just in case I thought I’d share a few fun local music events my family enjoys attending:

Tuesdays in the Park Concert Series

Every Tuesday in June & July, 7pm

Broken Arrow’s Central Park

This one has the added bonus of a great playground and lots of green grass nearby for the kids. I would say it is the most kid friendly of the three. Click here for more info.

Summer’s Fifth Night

Every Thursday Night during the summer 7-9pm at Utica Square

Riverwalk Summer Concert Series

Every Friday & Saturday night

I know there are tons more, but those are the only ones we have a habit of going to. The River Parks Festival Amphitheater near downtown Tulsa also has concerts every Tuesday night, but the BA concerts are closer for us. Chris and I will actually be skipping on the Tuesday night concerts most of the summer as we will be taking Salsa lessons! Chris loves to dance, but I pretty much stink it up on the dance floor. Hopefully I’ll learn a bit. Later in the summer we’ll also learn a bit of hip hop – I start cracking up just at the thought of Chris and I attempting hip hop. If you know us, you are laughing now too!

Just to include a picture…Chris and I have led a community group at our church for the past 4 years. It started with 4 couples and 3 kids. We had a group cookout at our house over the weekend. We’ve grown a bit!
